OpenScape Cordless IP V2 — IP DECT / SIP Wireless System

OpenScape Cordless IP V2 is a SIP-based enterprise IP DECT solution. BSIP2 IP base stations connect via SIP over the existing IP network to OpenScape Voice, Business and 4000 platforms. DECT/GAP standard, seamless roaming and handover, flexible capacity from compact to enterprise scale. Handsets: SL7/S6/R6 (office), M3 (industrial/ATEX).

  • Architecture: BSIP2 IP base stations → SIP over IP network to PBX; base station software centrally managed via OpenScape Cordless IP software, no local configuration required; full DECT and IP functionality integrated in each base station
  • BSIP2 base station specs: Ethernet 10/100BaseT, PoE Class 2 (<4W), 120 DECT channel capacity, DECT GAP/PN-CAP signaling, antenna diversity, web-based management interface; indoor: 182×113×42mm, ~0.3kg; outdoor protective casing: 296×256×90mm, ~1kg (-25°C~+40°C, 95% humidity, IEC721-3-3 class 4K2)
  • System capacity — compact mode: 60 base stations on 1 DECT Manager, 60 concurrent calls, 250 DECT devices; alternative: 4 DECT Managers on 1 dedicated base (240 bases, 800 handsets); enterprise — virtual server: 100 DECT Managers, each with 60 bases → 6,000 concurrent calls, 20,000 DECT devices total; seamless handover domain across up to 10 DECT Managers
  • Supported SIP platforms: OpenScape Voice V9+ (with SIP Survivability), OpenScape Business V3+, OpenScape 4000 V8+ — DECT devices can join MULAP groups and call pickup groups; Call Completion support for OpenScape Voice
  • SIP feature set: CLIP/CNIP, hold + Music on Hold, consult, attended/unattended transfer, forward (busy/no-reply/always), MULAP group, call pickup signaling, DTMF, second line + call waiting tone, voicemail MWI, missed call list; LDAP enterprise phonebook access (query and dial from DECT handset)
  • Network features: VLAN support, L2 QoS (802.1p/q), L3 QoS (ToS/DiffServ), DHCP or static IP; centralized OTA software update; SIP Survivability (local DECT calls continue if OpenScape Voice connection drops)
  • OScAR alarm integration: man-down, no-movement, emergency key, detached cord — priority message delivery to SL7/S6/R6/M3 handsets with icon + ringtone (Fire, Technical Failure, Assault, Doctor, Nurse, Bed Alarm); message list stored locally on handset
  • Promark: RF site survey and base station placement plan, BSIP2 installation and configuration, SIP platform integration (OSV/OSBiz/OS4000), OScAR alarm connection, capacity sizing (compact / enterprise)
