OpenScape Cordless Enterprise V7 — TDM DECT (OS4000 Integrated)
OpenScape Cordless Enterprise V7 is a TDM DECT solution integrated into OpenScape 4000. Radio switching cards (SLC/SLMC) are installed in the OS4000 chassis; BS4/BS5 base stations connect via digital interface. No IP infrastructure required. DECT/GAP standard, modular architecture, multi-cell technology, seamless handover. Handsets use the full feature set of OS4000.
- Architecture: SLC/SLMC radio switching cards installed directly in OS4000 chassis — full PBX integration, no separate server or software required; BS4 and BS5 base stations connect to the system via SLC/SLMC; each base station has 12 voice channel capacity; multi-cell technology delivers seamless building-wide or campus-wide coverage
- Connectivity: direct connection to OS4000 via TDM digital interface — no IP network, SIP server or IP infrastructure required; existing TDM cabling can be reused; outdoor base station enclosure for external coverage
- Management tools: centralized management via OpenScape 4000 Manager (DECT management within OS4000's own interface); CATool V7 — Cordless Administration Tool for initial setup, expansion packages and statistics evaluation (Windows XP 32-bit / Win7 32/64-bit); Virtual SLC — pure software-based DECT user provisioning without hardware dependency (redundant configuration option)

OpenScape Cordless IP V2 — IP DECT / SIP Wireless System
OpenScape Cordless IP V2 is a SIP-based enterprise IP DECT solution. BSIP2 IP base stations connect via SIP over the existing IP network to OpenScape Voice, Business and 4000 platforms. DECT/GAP standard, seamless roaming and handover, flexible capacity from compact to enterprise scale. Handsets: SL7/S6/R6 (office), M3 (industrial/ATEX).
- Architecture: BSIP2 IP base stations → SIP over IP network to PBX; base station software centrally managed via OpenScape Cordless IP software, no local configuration required; full DECT and IP functionality integrated in each base station
- BSIP2 base station specs: Ethernet 10/100BaseT, PoE Class 2 (<4W), 120 DECT channel capacity, DECT GAP/PN-CAP signaling, antenna diversity, web-based management interface; indoor: 182×113×42mm, ~0.3kg; outdoor protective casing: 296×256×90mm, ~1kg (-25°C~+40°C, 95% humidity, IEC721-3-3 class 4K2)
- System capacity — compact mode: 60 base stations on 1 DECT Manager, 60 concurrent calls, 250 DECT devices; alternative: 4 DECT Managers on 1 dedicated base (240 bases, 800 handsets); enterprise — virtual server: 100 DECT Managers, each with 60 bases → 6,000 concurrent calls, 20,000 DECT devices total; seamless handover domain across up to 10 DECT Managers

OpenScape DECT Handsets — SL7, S6, R6, M3
OpenScape DECT handsets work with BSIP2 base stations. In IP DECT systems they connect via SIP; in TDM systems via SLMC card. SL7 (slim premium, USB-C), S6 (standard office), R6 (IP65 rugged), M3 (industrial/man-down/ATEX Ex). All models: seamless handover, DECT encryption, 500 phonebook entries, OScAR alarm message reception.
- SL7 — slim & premium office handset: slimmest and lightest model, 2.4" TFT 240×320 65K color display, 27 languages, Bluetooth + USB-C, 500 phonebook entries, encrypted voice, secure system logon, OScAR alarm+message reception; multi-system (4 DECT simultaneous); +5°C~+45°C
- S6 — standard office handset: 2.4" TFT 240×320 color display (~118g, 2 AAA NiMH batteries), DECT encryption, Bluetooth + Micro USB, OAP message reception, 5-way navigation key; +5°C~+45°C
- R6 — rugged handset (IP65): dust and water IP65 certified, rubber-coated back (firm grip), spot LED (incoming call indicator + torch), same feature set as S6 plus extra protection; ~134g, 2 AAA NiMH; +5°C~+45°C
OpenScape WLAN Phone WL4 — Wi-Fi SIP Phone & WSG
WL4 is not DECT — it is an enterprise wireless IP phone operating via SIP over Wi-Fi access points. Connects to 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WLAN infrastructure, registers to PBX via SIP. WL4 Plus: man-down + no-movement alarm. WSG (Wireless Service Gateway) server provides centralized management, messaging and OScAR integration. For healthcare, retail, manufacturing and campus use.
- WL4 vs DECT difference: WL4 operates over existing WLAN (Wi-Fi) infrastructure — no separate DECT base station needed; registers directly to PBX via SIP; DECT handsets connect via BSIP2 base station, WL4 connects via access point
- IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac support (2.4GHz and 5GHz), WLAN security: WPA2-PSK, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, EAP-TLS, AES-CCMP (802.11i/w), fast roaming: 802.11r/k, PMKSA caching, CCKM; IP44 enclosure
- Protocols: SIP/RTP, SRTP/TLS (encrypted voice), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP; voice codecs: Opus Wideband, G.711 A/μ-law, G.729, G.722; 4 network profiles (auto/manual selection)
