Scope / deliverables
- SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) based — easily integrates into different IT and telephony environments; Communications Embedded Business Processes (CEBP) support for embedding UC functions directly into business workflows
- Presence and status management: real-time availability/status info in contact directory; user controls own status (who, when, which channel is reachable); federated presence across multi-system/domain (XMPP); cross-organization instant messaging federation
- Instant messaging (IM): point-to-point and group messaging; OpenFire XMPP protocol; full message history; Contextual Action Bar — add contacts and take actions from anywhere (search, favorites, journal, voicemail)
- Conferencing — audio, video and web (up to 300 participants): scheduled or ad-hoc; Meet-Me (PIN-based guest access) and Meet-You (dial-out to participants); multiple moderators; mute/lock participants; email invitation + browser join link; Continuous Presence video or Voice-Activated Switching
- Web conferencing features: desktop sharing (with mouse pointer), remote desktop control, video sharing, whiteboard (collaborative drawing/editing), survey/poll (anonymous feedback), multi-monitor support, chat (emoji + file share), encrypted data transmission, recording function
- One Number Service (ONS): reachable from single published number anywhere; calls routed to chosen device (desk phone, mobile, softphone); individual routing rules (caller priority, presence status, time-of-day/weekday); DTMF voice portal for remote voicemail and email access
- Mobile client — OpenScape Mobile (OSMO): iOS and Android; voice and video calls, IM, presence; Desktop video conferencing: Full HD with video room systems without gateway; WebRTC browser softphone support
- Microsoft Teams bi-directional status sync: Teams status reflects in OpenScape UC; when user is busy in Teams, Mitel phone receives no calls; MS Teams direct routing integration option
- Microsoft Office 365/Outlook integration: click-to-call from Outlook; out-of-office notification shown in UC client; access to Outlook private contacts; Exchange 2010/2013/2019/Online (Web Services), Outlook 2010–2021 SDK; LDAP directory access; H.264 video
- Capacity and deployment: Single node K8s — 3,000 users, 1,000 concurrent calls (single Media Server); Triple node K8s — high availability (HA), if one node fails the other two carry all services; capacity expandable by adding pods. Supported platforms: OpenScape Voice V10, OS4000 V10/V11
- Executive/Assistant communication: UC presence, device status and phone events displayed on CP phone screen; ideal for executive/assistant environment. IVR: web-based Auto Attendant; advanced IVR via drag-and-drop OpenScape Flow Designer
- Promark: UC capacity and deployment architecture design, K8s Single/Triple node setup, OSV/OS4000 integration, Teams Direct Routing configuration, user training and support
