- 8-channel capacity — receives and transmits signals to/from trunks and subscriber equipment.
- Six operating modes (Function ID 2–7), each with its own loadware:
- · Function ID 2: 8 DTMF sender/receiver pairs (DTMF countries).
- · Function ID 3: 8 MFC sender/receiver pairs (MFC countries).
- · Function ID 4: 4 DTMF pairs + 1 TDS (Telephony Diagnostic System) port.
- · Function ID 5: MFC ANI (Russia/CIS).
- · Function ID 6: MFC shuttle-packet (Russia/CIS).
- · Function ID 7: 4 DTMF pairs + 1 Line check diagnostics.
- SIPAC connector (cannot be used as a central SIU; older SIVAPAC variant is the legacy form).
- Hot-pluggable: removal/replacement in §6.3.2/6.3.3.
- Compatible with HiPath 4000 V8+ on the OpenScape 4000 V11 platform.
